Ken Read is one of the world’s most accomplished and celebrated sailors. He holds 51 World, North American, and National Championships; he is a two-time America’s Cup skipper; raced two Volvo Ocean Race campaigns as skipper and, he holds eight offshore elapsed time and outright speed records (all of which still stand). 

Read joined North Sails in 1996 and has primarily focused on sales leadership while still actively sailing within Grand Prix and Superyacht programs. Today, Ken is the President of the North Sails Group and Executive Vice President of North Technology Group. He is also a global spokesperson for competitive sailing, most recently as part of the commentary team for the 36th America’s Cup in New Zealand.
